We use our community garden to provide a supportive space for people affected by homelessness to rebuild wellbeing, independence and lasting connections.
We also offer a veg box scheme, seasonal flower subscription service, alongside seasonal produce, events and workshops. Please watch our video below to see the project in action and to find out about how you can help or join our cause.
Our Mission and Values
As an organisation our mission is to improve health and wellbeing for vulnerable adults with complex needs, primarily those who are homeless and rough sleeping, but also to those who are struggling with social isolation and their mental health. The project encapsulates our key values of building confidence, growing community and developing skills.
Root Connections is key to the support and care provided to residents of the Dairy House, a direct-access homeless shelter which is also situated on Manor Farm. By offering creative, social and therapeutic pathways to residents, our project reconnects vulnerable adults with complex needs to community life.
For the Community
Events
We offer time and space for people to learn skills, gain knowledge, get to know other local people and have some fun! Take a look at our calendar to find a workshop or an event to suit you.
Become a Friend of the Farm
We urgently need to raise £18,500 for an outdoor Community Hub , an all-year round, heated space that will bring individuals and the community together - in all weathers - and crucially during the long winter days when our beneficiaries need it most.
