What’s ON

Come and join in with some fun on the farm!

“What a fabulous and inspiring day - the company, the setting, still with some snow on the ground. We had such a lovely welcome… The results of our efforts were great, so all very happy, sharing together!”

Ann - Willow and Hazel Obelisk Workshop

We offer time and space for people to learn skills, gain knowledge, get to know other local people and have some fun! Browse our listings below for workshops, open days, fairs and activities for kids, ranging from willow weaving to ‘Pick Your Own Bouquet’ days. Events for adults and families are listed first, followed by children’s activities.

We’re updating our programme all the time so check back regularly to see what’s coming up. You can also sign up to our Newsletter at the bottom of the page to hear news from the farm and stay up to date with our latest events.

We are not-for-profit, so by attending one of our workshops or coming to a fair or open day, you’ll be directly supporting the work we do to end rural homelessness. When booking, there is an option to buy a ‘Pay It Forward’ Ticket that will allow us to offer funded places on our workshops for those on lower incomes.

If you have an idea for an event you would like to attend or offer, please get in touch with us at events@rootconnections.co.uk

We offer a range of outdoor children’s clubs throughout the year led by Director Cathy and volunteer David, who worked in primary education together for twenty years. Both are fully DBS checked and have completed safeguarding training.

They have developed a fun and physical after school and holiday club programme aimed at children aged 6-11 years. Groups are kept to a maximum of 15 children and activities range from cooking on the fire and den building to sowing seeds and picking salad from the farm.

Activities are outside and children should come dressed for all weathers.

We’re planning our activities for 2024 & will update here when available - we look forward to welcoming you in the new year!
